Self-service boarding gates

Since May 9, 2017, IER 710 SlimGates have been operating successfully in the domestic terminal of Wellington Airport for Sounds Air, a domestic airline.

The modern, sleek design of IER 710 SlimGates, which complements the airport’s aesthetics, weighed heavily in Wellington Airport’s decision-making process.

Wellington Airport is very pleased with the SlimGates’ reliability and robustness as well as their performance, which have made the boarding process much quicker and more efficient for Sounds Air.

The positive feedback received from passengers who used the gates assured Wellington Airport that the IER 710 SlimGates had helped to improve the boarding phase of passengers’ experience at the airport.

Wellington Airport was also very appreciative of EASIER’s support while delivering what was promised, which resulted in successful deployment of the SlimGates.

Based on this success, Wellington Airport planned to install additional IER 710 SlimGates for Air New Zealand.
